Doctor ????????

My 7 year old daughter woke
up sick this morning with pains in the tummy.
So I rang our doctors surgery to get an appointment this morning.
Well I have as much chance of getting her in TODAY at all
as I do of this cat being able to help her.
So I rang two other medical centers nearby " have you been here before"
"no " I said. "sorry we dont take on new patients"
Apparently I have as much chance as

this cute guy helping her !
She is resting now & we are just going to keep an eye on her.
If it continues off to A & E  at the hospital we go. No wonder there is a
strain on the A & E at the hospitals. Although we go to a private hospital & have to pay big time for the privilege of not sitting for hours in a waiting room.
Something needs to be done about more available doctors !
My gripe for the day !

  2. Oh no =( we've just moved to Hope Island and one of the reasons we chose to live here was because of all the services being so nearby. My little boy is a type 1 diabetic so I need to be able to have a doctor close by and I agree our country in in desperate need of my GP's. I pray your daughter is feeling better really soon

  3. Hi Leah,
    Welcome to the area .
If you havent already I would suggest you make an appointment when its not an emergency with a couple of different medical centers , so the days you do need a doctor you have more of a chance of getting an appointment. But maybe you son being diabetic they view that differently , and make an allowance. My daughter is feeling much better this afternoon , looks like we wont have to take a trip to Allamanda today.

  5. Yikes, we have lived on the Gold Coast for over 2 years and still not been to see a doctor. I hope it won't be too difficult to find one when we need too.
Glad your daughter is feeling better.
