My Beloved Nanna

A lot has happened since my last post , a lot of pain.  Then on the 10th Sept my beloved nanna passed away. While it was sad it was also a relief she was 92 years old & had been struggling with dementia the last couple of years. She showed an unconditional love to me, we would go for walks in the bush picking bunches of wild flowers , taught me how to make scones, crochet ,  garden , how to play bingo , she had a warm home that always made me feel like it was my second home.
My 7 year old had a natural bond with her also (and can already make the best scones) I decided to take her
down to the funeral in Bowral with me. I asked her would she like to do a reading at the funeral , she choose this beautiful poem & I am very proud to say she read it at the service. I would like to share it with you.

GODS GARDEN
God looked around his garden and found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you & lifted you to rest
With the help of his angels they flew you to your heavenly place
Gods garden must be beautiful , he always takes the best
He knew you were suffering , he knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on earth again
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills too hard to climb
He closed your weary eyelids and whisphered "Peace by thine"
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didnt go alone
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
