Afternoon Tea By The Sea ?

When you dont have a view of the sea
What do you do ?
Compromise of course.
In the school holidays when we have a girlie day at home ,
Miss. S loves to set a little table for our morning tea.
Usually its flowers from the garden,
but on this particular day
she thought our new little courtyard could do
with a backdrop view.

This is her own painting she did at art class, clever poppit.
Why did I not get the artist gene ?
It came from my mum ,
apprently skipped a generation in the middle.

(for tea connoisseurs an apology for using teabags instead of leaves in the teapot)

  1. wow she is talented! maybe you could start flogging them off to fund a place with an ocean view.

  2. Wow, I am blown away by her painting. She sure is talented. My first thought when I saw the photo was, great painting. We love afternoon tea here too. Don't tell anyone, but I always use tea bags...

  3. Karyn, I cannot believe your daughter's painting, it is spectacular!!! so spontaneous and she just gets the movement of the waves and the colours and the sand, really really surprising!!! a talent to encourage
I also use tea bags, all the time!

  4. That's so gorgeous, what a lovely idea. She looks so sweet! Rachaelxx

  5. My goodness, she needs to open an Etsy shop :) What a clever cookie! And a stylist in the making too setting the table so prettily. What a cute tradition :) PS Nothing wrong with teabags x

Love reading all of your comments.
