Grateful For The Colours Of Summer.......

The summer just passed has been eventful in our state & around the world.
I thought I would reflect on the highlights of our summer & be grateful for the wonderful moments we had......

Swimming......

Sunshine for 7 days & 1 relaxing rainy day.....

Fun at whitehaven beach .....

More swimming......

Meeting the locals each day at our room ......

I have always been fascinated with Kookaburras
Their shape , colours & of course that amazing laugh.
They are like the ' teddy bears of birds' to me....

Toy Kookaburra meet real Kookaburra.....

Hubby played golf with this magnificent view....

Swimming prettiness , love all the different shades of blue......

I swam with the turtles.......

My very first painting ever !
I did a art class at the gallery with artist Greg Wardell....

More stunning water colour......

Sailing.....

Sunsets.....

Yes it is a long post today but after not posting for a while now , I needed a little
cheering up. And what better way than with pictures of the whitsundays ( I do have
many many more) I cannot help myself.
There is blue everywhere you look of so many
 different shades .
I always say blue is my favourite colour , this is confirmed when ever I visit
here as I am always in awe.
For me its like a feeling of being in love for the first time.
I sometimes wonder if my 4 year old feels the same. Lately he says everyday
"mummy lets sale the house & live at Hammo"
I ask him what will mummy & daddy do for a job there to earn money.
His response " anything you like"
The innocence of a child is beautiful .
It makes me think would the world & its people be in a better state if we didnt loose
that simple thought process ?
What are your thoughts ?

  1. What a gem to say that, yes I wish we could all take on that way of thinking.
