Antiques at Braemar

On a trip earlier this year to the Southern Highlands N.S.W
we visited Antiques on consignment at Braemar
What a wonderful surprise , after driving past there for years
and never going in I didnt know what we had been missing out on.
There is a house , old cottage and Barn full of antiques , a lot of them shipped from France.
But my favourite was the Parterre' garden house & courtyard.
There is also a kitchen garden complete with a french rabbit hut off the ground & a pigeon house.
I took many photos too many to post today.
I was in heaven..... until I realised I couldnt take all these back home with me.
If you had a spare $19500 would you buy this stunning marble bath ?

The house at the front of the property
also at the side of the  has a magnificent display of hydrangeas

This fountain was imported from France
I would have bought this if the budget had allowed...

I wish these were at the entrance of my home
They have many lovely antique & replica gates

love street lamps , where did they come from & how many people passed by them before they came over to this side of the world

 Marble statues

This marble elephant was my sons favourite , he wanted to bring it home !

I really, really, really wanted this original window from a chateau in France
I couldnt stop touching it & wondering (again) who looked out of and what were they thinking.
Why do we get a feeling of love from a object ?
My husband said where would you put it. When I told my husband " I think
we would have to build a house to go with it" it was a very defiant "no".
I thought it was a treasure for $2500

Look at the lovely blue detail on this table top

If you ever in the area , take the time to visit this lovely display of antiques.
The only thing missing was a tea house to sit in the garden & enjoy the surroundings

Have a lovely weekend
